The «  World Junior championship » took place in the U.A.E. This competition must not be attended by more than 20,000 spectators. The Olympic Stadium, having a much too large capacity, could only be used for the opening and the closing ceremonies of the Games. So, the Organization Committee decided to re-accommodate the stadium of the City club

The existing complex included :
▪    An old stadium having a capacity of 20,000 seats
▪    A multipurpose Sport Hall with a capacity of 2,000 seats.

Consequently, the program was fully restudied. The main stand was totally rebuilt taking as a basis the following new program :

▪    V.I.P access : with air-conditioned sitting-rooms, and stands with majlis.
▪    A group of guest bedrooms for the outside football players.
▪    A Sport and Health Center, including a Medical Center with the most modern equipment for the “Cardiology”.
▪    A V.I.P. section has been particularly treated with armchairs and bars.
▪    A Swimming-pool/Jacuzzi unit completes this equipment which is today the most modern among the existing stadiums.
▪    The structure is made of concrete and the roof is composite : steel and insulation.
▪    The frontwall has a facing made of « alucobon » and of reflecting glass.
▪    Due to its great height, numerous lifts are serving it.
▪    The Sport hall was fully rebuilt in reinforced concrete, with a capacity of 2,300 seats.
▪    A changing-room unit.
▪    A training area corresponding to a big gymnasium is reserved to the warming-up.
▪    A center dedicated to the health and to the development of muscles was very developed.
▪    The outside parts are made of glass. The treatment of the frontwall was particularly elaborated : aluminium and reflecting glass were used.

This stadium is expected to have its capacity increased and its surroundings fully renovated very soon. Close to it is located a sport swimming-pool.

This club enables to organize indoor sport competitions, and football games within the stadium. It is one of the most active ones of the City. The very important Health Center enables to survey and to make physical progress for all the sport people attending this Club.

This complex corresponds to an examplary renovation.
